PBT is excited to announce our 2022 Summer Camps! With 4 amazing summer camp options for all ages and abilities you are sure to find the perfect camp for your family.
Each week of camp will have a designated theme which is sure to spark creativity and keep your student active this summer. Most camp participants will also have the opportunity to perform at the end of the summer.

4 Spectacular Summer Experiences!

My First Dance
Camp
My First Dance Camp is the perfect summer camp for our youngest aspiring dancers. Students ages 3-6 will learn and explore basic ballet and dance movement in a fun, creative way. Parents will be invited to watch their students in a mini-showcase on the last day of camp.
Week 1: Under the Sea
Join us this summer as we explore the world of dance under the sea. Come dressed as your favorite mermaid, fish, or sea creature. Students will enjoy dancing to music from Carnival of the Animals and mermaid and sea creature-themed music.

Week 2: Winter Wonderland
Join us this summer as we go "Into the Unknown" world of dance. Come dressed as your favorite winter princess, prince, or snowman. Students will enjoy dancing to music from The Nutcracker and popular movies.

PBT Summer Dance Camp
PBT’s Summer Dance Camp is for students ages 7-12. Students will participate in classes such as ballet technique and choreography in addition to special classes on make-up, hair, and more.
Week 1: Peter Pan
In Week 1, students will have the opportunity to learn choreography to music from Peter Pan. In addition, they will have a special class on how to do Lost Boy make-up. Students who participate in Weeks 1, 2 and 3 of camp OR Weeks 1 and 3 of camp, will have the opportunity to perform in a showcase on July 30th.

Week 2: Fairy Tales
In Week 2, students will have the opportunity to learn choreography from famous story ballets, such as Sleeping Beauty, Cinderella, Swan Lake, and more. In addition, they will participate in workshops where they learn the story behind the ballet and how to tell a story through dance. Students who participate in Weeks 2 and 3 of camp will have the opportunity to perform in a showcase on July 30th.

Week 3: Wild West
In Week 3, students will have the opportunity to dance to iconic American music. In addition, they will have a special class on square dancing. Bring your cowboy hats and bandanas and get ready to dance up a storm. Students who participate in Week 3 of camp will have the opportunity to perform in a showcase on July 30th.

PBT Summer
Intensive
PBT’s Summer Intensive Program is for students ages 13-18. Students will participate in classes such as ballet technique, pointe/pre-pointe, variations, choreography, yoga, floor barre, contemporary, and musical theatre.
Week 1: Don Quixote
In Week 1, students will learn choreography from the famous ballet Don Quixote. In addition, they will attend relevant sessions on dance history and culture, as well as interactive hair and make-up workshops. Students who participate in Weeks 1, 2 and 3 of the intensive OR Weeks 1 and 3 of the intensive will have the opportunity to perform in a showcase on July 30th.

Week 2: Giselle
In Week 2, students will learn choreography from the famous ballet Giselle. In addition, they will attend relevant sessions on dance history and culture, as well as interactive hair and make-up workshops. Students who participate in Weeks 2 AND 3 of the intensive will have the opportunity to perform in a showcase on July 30th.

Week 3: Contemporary Ballet
In Week 3, students will learn choreography from contemporary ballets. This may include Balanchine choreography as well as choreography from PBT’s Artistic Director Greg Amato. In addition, they will attend relevant sessions on dance history and culture, as well as interactive hair and make-up workshops. Students who participate in Week 3 of the intensive will have the opportunity to perform in a showcase on July 30th.

Musical Theatre Dance
Camp
Musical Theatre Dance Camp is for students ages 7-18. Students will learn dancing, singing, and acting techniques. Classes will include ballet, tap, jazz and theatre dance, singing/music appreciation, and acting workshops. Taught by PBT staff, who are also seasoned performers, students will gain the full musical theatre experience.
Week 1: Musical Theatre at the Movies
In Week 1, students will have the opportunity to learn choreography and songs from Grease, Hairspray and more. Students who participate in Weeks 1, 2 and 3 of camp OR Weeks 1 and 3 of camp, will have the opportunity to perform in a showcase on July 30th.

Week 2: Roald Dahl
In Week 2, students will have the opportunity to learn choreography and songs from Roald Dahl musicals such as Matilda, Willy Wonka, and James and the Giant Peach. Students who participate in Weeks 2 and 3 of camp will have the opportunity to perform in a showcase on July 30th.

Week 3: Classic Broadway
In Week 3, students will have the opportunity to learn choreography and songs from Bob Fosse musicals. Students who participate in Week 3 of camp will have the opportunity to perform in a showcase on July 30th.

Peninsula Ballet Theatre’s 2022 summer programs will be conducted in-person. Ballet Summer Camps will still be offered virtually in addition to the in-person setting. Musical Theatre Camp will ONLY be offered in-person. All students that enter the studio must follow county and state guidelines, as well as additional safety guidelines and protocols implemented by PBT.

Cancellation Policy: A $25 nonrefundable deposit is due at the time of registration for all summer camps. If you need to cancel your summer camp registration PBT must be notified prior to July 4, 2022. Full camp tuition is due July 1st or upon the day of registration, if registering after July 4, 2022.
